First-Wash Guide: Camellia Seed Powder

Prepare before you begin

You will need the powder, a clean bowl, a measuring spoon or scale, comfortably warm water, and a towel. Wet the scalp thoroughly before applying the mixture.

Amounts for a first wash

  • Powder: approximately 20–25 g.
  • Water: begin with approximately 100 ml and add small amounts as needed, usually up to 150 ml total.
  • Water temperature: approximately 35–40°C—comfortably warm, never hot.
  • Massage: 3–5 minutes with the pads of your fingers.

Find the right texture

Too thick: difficult to spread or pulls through the hair. Add a small amount of water.

Ready: a light, spreadable paste that can be applied close to the scalp in sections.

Too thin: runs immediately and is difficult to control. Use less total water next time.

Awaken, Blend, Massage, Rinse, Restore

  1. Add the powder and comfortably warm water to a clean bowl.
  2. Blend into a light paste and use immediately. No steeping is required.
  3. Apply to the wet scalp in sections and massage gently for 3–5 minutes. Do not scratch with your nails.
  4. Rinse every section thoroughly until no visible particles remain.
  5. Press gently with a towel and note what you may adjust next time.

First-use troubleshooting

Hard to spread? Add water gradually until the paste becomes lighter.

Particles are hard to rinse? Work in smaller sections and rinse each area thoroughly.

Using styling products? Heavy buildup may change how the first wash feels; focus on method rather than expecting dramatic foam.

Persistent discomfort? Stop using the product and contact us. Do not interpret irritation as a “detox” or something to endure.

One 250 g bottle provides approximately 10 uses, depending on hair amount and technique.
